It was just another day in London however, as we reflect on a wonderful evening at The Waldorf Hilton London yesterday, it feels much warmer and sunnier as we bask in a function that went well!

The location of The Palm Room was magnificent and the service levels were immaculate as was the live band on one side welcoming all the attendees,

The evening was kick started by The President of The Society of the Golden Keys of Great Britain and the Commonwealth welcoming all the attendees and he invited The GM of The Waldorf Mr. Hilton to say a few words.

Mr Guy Hilton welcomed everybody to his hotel and spoke about the significance and importance of The Concierge in ensuring that all his guests have a memorable stay. He particularly mentioned Dan Firth and his team at The Waldorf for being ambassadors for the hotel as well as The Concierge profession.

Mr Stuart Dimock, the Publishing Director from MVP spoke a few words about The Fist ever Nominee award function and how MVP is fully supportive of the Concierge profession by supplying Where LondonMaps and various other magazines to educate people about London and things that can be done in the city.

Mr Antony Lynch then addressed every one present and amidst resounding applause, read out each of the nominees in Best Concierge of The Year, Regional Concierge of The Year, Young Concierge of The Year and The Service Through Friendship award. He also spoke about how the Society has gone from strength to strength and continues to do so with the help of the Golden Key members, their hotels who are very supportive, our Associate members who have been unflinching in their support and the need to publicise and market ourselves better.

We had various members of the press present as well and the feedback was very positive about the event as well as The Concierge profession and the role we do in ensuring that London is the preferred choice for tourists from around the world.
